Timkat on the Lakes – Omo Valley & Bale Mountains

Journey from Ethiopia’s capital to the communities of the Omo Valley, the highlands of Bale and the lakes of the Rift Valley. This 14-day small-group special combines Alduba’s Tuesday market, cultural encounters arranged with local communities, the landscapes of Sanetti and Timkat around Batu/Ziway. The final days are based at Rosetta Marina Beach Resort on Lake Langano, with a final day-use room at Mazeki Boutique Hotel in Addis Ababa. Planned travel dates in Ethiopia: 7–20 January 2027, with international departure after midnight on 21 January where applicable. Festival access, boat operations, domestic flight times and accommodation remain subject to reconfirmation. Departure is Scheduled; it becomes Guaranteed only when the minimum number of travellers has made a verified qualifying payment.

Domestic flight Addis Ababa–Jinka is NOT included: add USD 125 per person if you hold an eligible Ethiopian Airlines international ticket, otherwise USD 180. These are flight budgets, subject to eligibility, availability and fare reconfirmation before issue. International flights are excluded. Domestic ticket changes and refunds follow Ethiopian Airlines fare conditions. Lake Ziway boat hire, island access and festival-specific fees are additional unless expressly included in your written quotation.
