Here, you will spend two full days exploring the legendary rock-hewn churches, including the iconic Bete Giyorgis (Church of St. George), shaped like a perfect Greek cross and carved entirely from volcanic rock. You will walk through ancient tunnels, meet priests with 800-year-old processional crosses, and witness living faith that has remained unchanged for centuries.
