About Chebera Churchura National Park

Welcome to Chebera Churchura National Park, one of Ethiopia's best-kept wildlife secrets. Located in the remote southwest near Jimma, this 1,250-square-kilometer park is home to over 500 wild African elephants – one of the largest elephant populations in Ethiopia. But that is not all. You will find lion, leopard, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, and the rare Swayne's hartebeest. The park also contains four stunning crater lakes (Keriballa, Koka, and Shasho), 49 perennial rivers, natural hot springs, and the thundering Barbo Waterfall. At Monpays Tours, we offer game drives, boat trips, hiking, and camping in this untouched wilderness. Celebrate 20 years with an elephant safari that rivals anywhere in Africa.

Soak in natural hot springs (Toshima and Nechwuha) deep inside the park
Search for lion, leopard, and buffalo in the riverine forests
Stay at the park's eco-lodge, inside the wilderness
